Commerce Bank of Folsom will open its doors for business on March 19, 2007 it was announced today by Brady M. Whitlow, Chairman of the Board. “The Bank closed its stock sale on Friday, March 9th raising more than $14.5 million in capital to fund the Bank’s new operations. Its offices will be located at 1710 Prairie City Road in Folsom in the new Four Corners Center”, Mr. Whitlow stated. Commerce Bank of Folsom will be the first bank headquartered in Folsom since 1933 when the old Bank of Folsom closed its doors during the Great Depression. That bank served the community from 1910 to 1933 as Folsom’s only locally owned bank. Until now other attempts to start a new bank in Folsom have been unsuccessful.
