
Intense Therapy is a massage clinic specializing in clinical massage and working closely with your doctor or chiropractor and following their prescription for your care. Of course, we will also accept you as a regular client for therapeutic massage without a prescription.
Lisa Slininger, CMMT, LMT is the owner and therapist. She graduated in 1974 from a 2396 hour program in Medical Massage and passed the National Exams in Japan to become a Licensed Medical Massage Therapist. She has also been certified in the United States.

Medical Massage Therapists require a physician's prescription, specific diagnosis and treatment code when treating you as your doctor's patient.

Lisa's trained and certified in Evaluation and Treatment of the Cervical Spine, Thoracic Spine, and Lumbar Spine and Upper Extremities. Utilizing her training as a Medical Massage Therapist, when referred by your doctor, Lisa focuses on treating stress, injury, and illness through the use of manual techniques that improve circulation, enhance muscular relaxation, relieve pain, reduce stress, enhance immune function, or promote health and well being.
Massage therapists practicing medical massage have advanced training in evaluation and treatment of movement and structure of the musculoskeletal system, training in medical documentation and terminology, advanced communication skills, and advanced training in pathologies and protocols for medical based treatment.
Certified Medical Massage Therapist (USA) - On October 31, 2004 Lisa passed exams for Certified Medical Massage Therapist, with Medical Massage Office & Associates an NCBTMB education provider recognized by both the United States Medical Massage Therapy Association and Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. This additional certfication supplements her earlier training from Shonan College in Japan where she graduated as a Medical Massage Therapist also certified in Shiatsu and Anma.
We also take regular massage clients seeking massage for relaxation or relief from stress and muscular aches and pains.
