Session 1  June 4-8

 Icky, Slimy, Gooey                     

Have fun in Abrakadoodle class when you create Icky Bug Doodles, Slimy Fish Prints and Slinky Snakes. Learn about creating your own art materials when you mix up some Goodle. Create a movie monster named Doodlezilla and more! This eight class series of icky, slimy, gooey art will show you how to make your own unique creations while learning about art terms, art history, unusual art jobs and multicultural art. Come join in the fun as you sculpt, print, mix and cut paper to make the most unusual art projects in town! Bring a snack and dress your child in old play clothes.

 Girl Fancy Art                          

Ever wonder how they create jewelry, shoes or hats? Join Abrakadoodle and learn about all of this plus basketry, fairies, fans and more! This eight class series of pretty fancy art will show you how to make your own unique creations while learning about Cartier, Manolo Blahnik, Arthur Rackham, art terms and multicultural art. Come join the fun as you sculpt, weave, design and decorate your one of a kind creations. Bring a snack and dress your child in old play clothes.

Session 2  June 11-15

 Remarkable Artists                    

We’ll explore marvelous artists and their world of art! We will work with texture in nature and learn about Durer, Rothko and his emotion painting; what are Cameos? Environmental art with Smithson; we’ll learn about The Sistine Chapel and Michelangelo Renaissance art and more. Along the way we’ll play indoor and outdoor games sing songs, read stories and more. Bring a snack and dress your child in old play clothes.

 Encountering the Masters

Meet the masters of art in this exciting class! Create pop art like Andy Warhol, paint like Renoir, collage like Matisse, use watercolors to create your own “Starry Night” and illustrate your dreams like Chagall. You’ll even learn how to create photo illustrations using digital photography. Students leave class with framed art. Along the way we’ll play indoor and outdoor games, sing songs, read stories and more. Bring a snack and dress your child in old play clothes.                       

Session 3  June 18-22

 Ancient Art     

Themed instruction focuses on compiling a series of creative projects. These camp is full of information involves art ranging from Egyptian art and Impressionists to pop art. Finally, engages children in creating personal stamps, printing with feathers and textures and Japanese fish printing.

 Sea Art Ventures

Along the way we’ll create art based on the ocean we'll create our own mermaid sculptures, a special underwater scene using watercolor and bubble wrap, fish mobiles, lost cities and more. We’ll even make ourselves into underwater explorers using digital photography! Come join in the fun as you paint, sculpt and design your own one of a kind creations. Along the way we’ll have a wacky good time playing art games (indoors and outdoors). Bring a snack and dress your child in old play clothes.

Session 4 June 25-29       

 Daily Art

Here’s a new twist on everyday activities! In this unusual art camp everyday items (such as tee-shirts, dishes, furniture and trash) inspire works of art. Sculpt a 16th century pot, Raku style. Learn about textile design when you create your own tee-shirt art. Design your own dream bed, and create nature art. You’ll even use trash to create recycled art. Learn how to create cool stuff out of everyday materials and have a wildly good time! Along the way we’ll play indoor and outdoor games, sing songs, read stories and more. Bring a snack and dress your child in old play clothes                        

 Harry Potter

If your child loves Harry Potter this is the camp for you! We’ll watch a different Harry Potter movie each day! And then create art based on the movie! We’ll make one of the pets from Harry Potter stories using collage technique. We’ll create Hogwarts using a fun print technique. We’ll even use digital photography to put ourselves in our favorite Harry Potter scene! Along the way we’ll play indoor and outdoor games, sing songs, read stories and more. Bring a snack and dress your child in old play clothes.             

Session 1 June 4-8

Around the World                   

Join Abrakadoodle on an around the world trip! We’ll learn about exotic countries as Ecuador, Mexico and India while we paint tropical birds, make collage elephants, sculpt polar bears and more! Along the way we’ll listen to music from each country, read stories, do art projects, play games indoors and outdoors, sing songs and more. Bring a snack and dress your child in old play clothes.

Session 2 June 11-15

Paint me a Story                       

Combine popular library books and art for imaginative fun. Read a book, create art, and amaze your family and friends! We’ll learn about Henri Rousseau and create a jungle scene based on his works then explore the works of Mary Cassatt while we read about families. We’ll also play some fun games. Along the way we’ll play indoor and outdoor games, sing songs, read stories and more. Bring a snack and dress your child in old play clothes.

Session 3 June 18-22

 Sea Art Ventures
