Juli Santoriello, Owner

Hello, I am the owner and licensed operator of Shining Star Preschool. I was born and raised in Sacramento and have called Folsom my home for the past nine years.  I have spent over half my life teaching and mentoring children.  I am a fully trained and credentialed K-6 teacher with the State of California. My interest in working with children started at a young age, and continued on in college where I graduated from Sacramento State University with a B.A. in Liberal Studies and with an emphasis in child development.   I was a teacher in the Elk Grove School District and have taught grades K-6.  

I ended my full time teaching position in Elk Grove with the marriage to my husband, Rob, and the responsibilities at home as a Mom raising my five Children.  I was fortunate that I had the opportunity to explore preschool hands-on at a parent co-op preschool here in Empire Ranch, and have enjoyed the age and curriculum greatly.  Now that my youngest child is in school, I have decided to get back to what I truly love.  Teaching is my passion and I am excited to have the opportunity to develop happy, independent, and well rounded children.  I am excited to be working with your child here at Shining Star Preschool where every child shines!

Mission
My mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. At Shining Star Preschool I develop happy, independent, caring and creative thinkers.

Philosophy
My philosophy is based on balance. Balance of structure, exploration, and independence. Children will be stimulated with hands-on learning and encouraged to create and explore through their own discovery as well as teacher directed lessons.
