AC Girl is owned and operated by Laura Costello. Ms. Costello is EPA Licensed and is a CalCERTS Home Energy Rating Systems (HERS) Title 24 Certified Rater for Field Verification and Diagnostic Testing of Residential Duct Systems. She provides testing and verification services and repair and installation services on systems the company does not inspect. The installing Contractor cannot inspect and rate their own work.
CalCERTS is one of two organizations that administers a California Energy Commission (CEC) State approved "Third Party Quality Control Programs" system. Known as HERS providers, they compile, organize, archive and report on all ratings done by by it's certified raters. They are also primarly responsible for the training and certification of the raters.
HERS Raters are 3rd party "special inspectors" for the building department. Raters are to be objective, cannot recommend products or services and may not have any financial interest in the installing Contractors business.
