Great food but had wine issues
"I thought the Food was excellent and priced accordingly. I was disappointed in the wine 1) One wine we got was corked or had been opened for way to long. With a Sommieller on site this should never happen. 2)I also thought the per glass wine prices were much to high. For example a Amador barbera at the winery the bottle cost $26 they were charging $50 bottle and $13 glass. Some wines I don't mind paying more for but that seems pretty excessive to me. "

Lucky find "I just moved to Folsom with my girlfriend and we stumbled upon the Wednesday wine tasting on folsomliving.com. The bar is has a nice romantic, fun, and social setting with great wine. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. We met some great folks there and had an awesome time. Highly recommend it!!!"

Ask Jeff about his background. "Jeff Back is too modest. There isn't any pomposity to this guy or Back Wine Bar for that matter, at all. With his background and accomplishments, you'd think he'd promote the heck out of it. I think he should. Ask him over a glass of the Barbera."

Best Wine Bar in the Area!
"The Back Wine Bar sets the bar for Folsom wine bars! In fact, in my opinion, nobody else compares! I cannot say enough great things about it. Jeff and Gail have done such an amazing job with their business! It is so classy, intimate and quaint inside. Yet, not at all stuffy. I love the close neighborhood feel. Whether you are there with one person or ten, you will have a great time! The wine and beer selection is extremely impressive! The small plates are absolutely delicious! The Back Wine Bar has become one of my all-time favorite Folsom spots. I recommend it to everyone!! "
