Better than expected
"The impression I had of Dos Coyotes was way off the mark. I like their salsas, and most of the food is pretty good, food is delivered fairly quickly. there are a few oddities, like the Asparagus quesidilla, that I didn't care for after trying it, but their fish & shrimp tacos are awesome. The comment below about the shrimp burrito, while I got 6 or so decent sized shrimp, I agree, there was too much rice in that thing to call it a burrito."

Best burritos
"I have to say I have tried many burritos in folsom and I just love Dos Coyotes! I also love their green salsa, it is unique and a little sweet. They also have really good nachos that are so huge you could easily split them. I give it two thumbs up. "

Never bad.
"No this is not an authentic mexican restaurant but does a real authentic mexican restaurant exist anywhere around here? If it does it won't be in Folsom. Anyway, we eat here at least once a week and have always been happy with the service and the quality of food. The managers are on top of things. I ordered a chicken quesadilla for my daughter and when it arrived sans chicken I brought it to the managers attention. She was very apologetic and within 5 minutes we had a fresh chicken quesadilla to eat. The pico de gallo salsa is always very tasty as is the pasilla salsa. Their salsa's aren't as good as say Chevy's or Ikeda's but they are 100 times better than Mission Rogelio's junk. If your panties get in a bunch when someone calls out your name to bring you your order then take your sensitive elistist ego elsewhere. The way Dos Coyote does things is just fine as it has been for the last 15 years."

Shrimp burrito, seriously?
"My friend keeps dragging me here, probably because he doesn't like cilantro. This is a great place for bland food. I made the mistake of ordering a shrimp burrito and it was disgusting. 80 percent of it was rice. Some corn. Corn? I didn't bite into a shrimp until halfway through. By then I was a bit ill from the mushy, wet, rice and corn that I fished out the five small shrimp, flavorless and poorly cooked, ate them only to feel like less of a fool for wasting money on such bad food. The salsas here are dull and uninspired. The restaurant is typically loud and obnoxious. As for yelling out your name to announce your food is ready? Please. The most recent visit with aforementioned friend, I said I was not hungry and had a beer while he trudged through something after I cleared and cleaned the dirty table for him. He asked for a box for his leftovers and the high school kid server stared at him dully with incomprehension. "A what?" The popularity of this restaurant is baffling to me. It seems to be in the ranks of Lemon Grass, Thai Cottage, Andy Nguyens, and other restaurants that have adopted their recipes to the lowest common denominator of the American palette, sacrificing taste, authenticity, and quality to draw more people in. Don't like any of those pesky spices? No problem. Let me just add some sugar for you. Why is is so hard to find quality, authentic, delicious food around here?"

Fish Burrito
"I love Dos Coyotes, and have been a fan, since they were just a "hole in the wall" in Davis. My only complaint, which lowered my rating (biased, I know) is that this specific location does not use the same recipe for their fish burritos, as the other locations, and I don't care for it."

Excellent!!!
"Order at the counter. They bring the meal to your table. Fast food, but with sit-down diner quality. We were disappointed after moving to Folsom that there were not any good Mexican restaurants in the area. We were pleasantly surprised that we were wrong when we shared a meal at Dos Coyotes. Great food, great environment, and the service is superior!!! They will go out of their way to make sure you are happy."

Excellent Food and Friendly Service.
"Great food! Large selection of salsas to suit everyone. Excellent outdoor patio dining, wooded and cozy. Decent prices for excellent food. They don't nickle and dime you to death like some Mexican restuarants will. i.e. no extra charge for sour cream. Keep up the great work guys. They pay attention to customer service as well. Nuff Said! -Denny"
